To my sweet girl on your four month birthday,
Mommy and daddy could not have asked for any better of a baby than you. You are so lovable, sweet and beautiful. You bring much joy to our lives and we can't imagine how we ever made it without you. We are truly blessed to have a child like you. You have developed so very much in the past month. It is absolutely incredible to watch you play with toys. You love to shake your rattle and play with your froggy from Uncle Will. Anytime you get upset we can always just shake your froggy and you calm down. It is so adorable to watch you reach for your toys when we hold them in front of you. Daddy has been working with you to try and roll over. You get to your side and then you stop. You still love to kick, kick and then kick some more on the floor. Yesterday daddy and mommy let you ride around Lexington and to Manchester with granny, pap and Auntie V. It was the first time you had been away like that from us. We didn't know what to do with ourselves. Mommy got to ride in the front with daddy to Manchester for the first time since you were born. We missed you a lot and even beat you to Manchester! Auntie V likes to take her time and shop. You are so precious. We love you so much. Granny bought you a jumpy toy and your favorite thing to do is chew on the leaf. Sometimes you play with the other toys on it but mostly you just chew on the leaf. We thought you were starting to teeth, your gums looked a little strange but I guess it was a false alarm. The drool still drips constantly but thats already, we just wipe it off. You and the cats have gotten to be even better friends than before. They like for you to pet them and Scottie cat sleeps next to you at night. They worry when you cry just like Kate does. Kate always peeks her head up in the window to make sure you are okay. She doesn't like to see you sad. Mommy is still breastfeeding you (she is proud to have made it this far). You get three bottles of breast milk at the baby sitters. You even get rice cereal now at least one time a day. It doesn't seem to make you any fuller though. The doctor is going to discuss putting you on baby food at your well baby check up. That will be fun, I hope you love sweet potatoes as much as I did and I still do. I can't believe how you play with things or how good you are. We are so lucky. Daddy is going to be gone all next week, it will be just me and you. We will miss daddy a lot but he won't be gone too long. We love you little one!
