Cutting back
My ultimate goal after the birth of Welch #2 is to be able to stay at home and take care of both of my babies. We have been trying to think of ways that we can cut back so that this can become a reality. Each time we think of something something else comes up that we have to spend money on. This economy is so weird right now you never know what will happen. We are going to be poor whether or not I work so I think I should just stay home. Most of the money I make will be going to pay for my babysitter who is excellent btw and I have no complaints about that. I know that we still pay less for a sitter than most people and I am very appreciative of that fact. We have a better one than most people do as well. I'm just worried that we will not be able to keep using her, especially if we have winters like the one we have had this week. We are fortunate in the fact we don't have many bills, student loans being our biggest. In all reality our student loan bills are less than most peoples so thats another fact I'm grateful about. Sometimes, well a lot of times, I think that if we didn't live in Lexington we wouldn't have a problem with me being able to stay home. Or that it would be easier if we had people around who could help keep them. We have been lucky this week that there hasn't been school and mom has been able to help. It is hard when you live away from family. I just hope there is a way that we can make it work and I am able to stay home.

Two Years!
To my beautiful girl on your twenty fourth month of life!
You are so precious, daddy and I love you so. We can not believe that you are turning two years old today. We have a big party planned, Yo Gabba Gabba! of course, and can't wait for you to see your friends and have a great day. We didn't get to make it as grand as last year's party but we still think you will enjoy it. We just got back from our cruise last week, you LOVED it. Then again, you love most things. You are a little brown biscuit again and your hair got even blonder. Everyone on the cruise just thought you were the greatest and cutest little thing. Most of them knew your name and how old you were by the time we left that place. You are such a little show off with such a grand personality. You hunted for monkeys in the rain forest while we were gone and just behaved so well on our trip. We are very lucky that you are such a great traveler. We started you at an early age so maybe thats it. Soon your baby brother/sister will be here and you will have to pass all of your wonderful traits on to them. Another milestone that happened in the past month was we stopped nursing. Mommys milk started to leave due to the baby and instead of letting you nurse until it came back daddy and I decided it was time. Although my plan had been to let you wean when you were ready you have still done very well with this change. In the end I think that you were ready too. Daddy is going to have to have surgery in the next week and he won't be able to hold you. It will break his heart, I hope you do very well with daddys boo boo. You are such a daddys girl, it is precious :) I wouldn't have it any other way. We are so lucky that you are our girl. We love you so much!

23 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your 23rd month of life,
You are your daddys girl, the most comedic little thing I have ever seen. It is hard to believe that in only a month you will be two years old. It just doesn't seem possible and then in a few months you will have a baby of your very own to care for. I know you will be a wonderful big sister because you are such a wonderful child. In the next month we are going to be going on a very exciting trip. I know you won't remember it but I can't wait to see your expressions and watch you experience the cruise. Daddy has been preparing you for the "big ship" we are going to ride on in the ocean! The thing that you and I are looking forward most to doing it looking at the moon over the water. You are fascinated with the moon and the stars as well as with Santa. We have been trying to teach you the concept of Santa and about his good list and naughty list. You told us you were on the naughty list. I don't know how accurate that is since you are a pretty good girl most of time. The few exceptions are when you are being so darn stubborn you can't stand yourself. Like when daddy puts you in the naughty corner and you just stand there and smile at him and repeatedly call him jason! haha There are many times we must leave the room to stop from laughing at you while you are being "punished." You are so cute with your blonde curly hair and big brown eyes and so rotten too. You are so spoiled and we promise we didn't mean to make you that way :) We love you so much!

Worry
I don't feel the past few weeks have been that great, I guess things are just hitting all at once and I'm not 100% emotionally stable right now. We found out a couple weeks ago that our baby sitter of the past year and half is having to move. The baby sitter that treats Annabelle as one of her own. Annabelle adores her, her husband and her boys. They have been so good to her. We have started looking for sitters in Lexington since we dont' really want her to go to a daycare. She has been so healthy and we hope that continues wherever she goes. I feel horrible for this because during this time we got to see our second baby at the ultrasound. I just don't feel that I can enjoy the new baby until we get the things settled with Annabelle and the sitter. I am very thankful that I have not been anywhere as close to as sick as I was with Annabelle. I have been more emotional this time around and I think thats one part of why I'm having such a rough time with this. Of course I don't want to have to deal with this type of change and I worry that I will get someone who treats my child nearly as good as Jennifer did. She was treated as one of their own at her house, she never cried for me when I would leave her and a time or two she would cry because she didn't want to leave and go home!
I think the best thing and in a perfect world would happen is that I stayed home to care for my own children. It is bad that we live in a world that I can't do that, we don't even have that many bills and still it would be very tight if thats the decision we came too. Our bills are mostly just normal every day bills that everyone has. We don't have credit card debt, big expensive car payments or anything like that. I deeply deeply deeply regret going back to school to work on my master's. Even if I had finished it before Annabelle it would not have been worth it. That little extra student loan payment and its still less than most people have keeps me from being able to do what I want. We have been smart with our money and made pretty good decisions and still it doesn't seem to be enough. My job is a dead end job and my income keeps going down thanks to furloughs and lack of raises. Everyone says I should appreciate the fact that I even have a job and that is true but doesn't really make me feel better when all my income goes to pay someone else to take care of my child.
Everyone says things will work out and they are probably right, it just doesn't seem so at this moment. Things don't seem to work out, this has been a bad year for me and I wish there were a lot of things that had happened different. I am thankful that I do have a husband who I love and that loves me and a child that is the greatest in the world. Life just hasn't been fair to my family this year.

22 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your 22nd month of life!
This past month we have had some big news for you. You are going to be a big sister! You were very excited and told my belly that it was a "good girl." You also kicked it on accident and said "sorry baby!" You are just too sweet, half the time you get in trouble momma can't punish you because you are just so cute. You have such great ways about you, your personality is so BIG! We just laugh and laugh at you and your funny quirks! You keep mommy and daddy entertained whether it be with the conversations we have or just your complete silliness. We love you so much and are so happy you are ours. You have kind of stalled in your potty training, its now hit or miss where last month it was always hit. You language hasn't stalled though, you are complete sentences with my favorite being "I love you too mommy." You and your daddy are pretty much inseperable and he treats you like your the only person in the world. You make requests now like going to mothers house so that you can see the horses. You love horses and cows and cats and dogs. There are so very few things in this world that you do not love. You eat anything and everything you can including mommy's orange juice and her breakfast. For some reason mommy's tastes better than yours does. In the next months there are going to be some big changes for you and for that I am very sorry. We are having to get a new baby sitter for you because Jenn Jenn is moving. I know that you are very adaptable and will probably have an easy time with it but just know that mommy is struggling a little. You are just so happy all the time now and Jenn Jenn is part of the reason for that. Everyone loves you so much.
On a different note, over the past week or so you have completely stopped listening to mommy or daddy. I guess the terrible twos have hit us early. We even tell you we will whip your buns and you don't mind. I guess you know its an empty threat and time out doesn't work because you enjoy putting yourself in the naughty corner. You are one silly goose! You are improving at dance class and paying more and more attention. That is when you are not off to the side starting a riot with the cones. I do believe you are going to be a leader when you are older. You have a mind of your own and other children seem to like to do whatever it is you are doing. You make our lives so interesting and fun. I don't know what we did with all our time before you came along. We love you! :)

21 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your 21st month of life!
I know that I am a couple of days late on this entry but you leave little time for momma to do anything except have fun with you on the weekends. You, me and daddy have the best times together. You are so funny, you make us and everyone around you laugh with anything you do, say or even the looks you give. You are such a big girl, you are almost potty trained. I guess I could say you are potty trained but I'm not brave enough to chance it at night yet. You do wake up dry 5 or 6 out of 7 days. You have went as long as over a week waking up dry which is a pretty good accomplishment for such a little girl. We started taking you to dance class a couple of weeks ago. You are the youngest kid there and you listen as well as the rest of them. We are very proud of you and how you behave and follow directions. Usually while you are in dance class daddy and I sit outside and watch you cracking up and everything you do. During your first ever dance class you wanted to leave your room and join the bigger girls because you liked their music better.
Your language continues to grow and develop. You are able to repeat anything which is mostly good. You are using phrases such as "I am!," "lets hide together" and other typical phrases. You are such a daddys girl and a mommas girl. You are very bossy and stubborn which are both traits we could recognize in the first few months of your life. Your personality continues to be wonderful and happy. That is also something we could tell almost immediately about how you were going to be. You are pretty clever and can count to three but most of the time you go straight to 2 and stay there. You also know when you have to things in your hands, or when you see two of the same things. We are trying to work on your colors right now and you are able to get them sometimes and sometimes not. We will keep working on it and hopefully soon you will know most of the primary colors. You are a pro at working daddys iphone. You know exactly how to unlock it and get to the games you want to play. There is one game momma would rather you not play but it is your favorite so you go for it more than you do the educational games. Of course daddy thinks its hillarious. You are able to do some things with his phone and neither he nor I can even do. You are still the greatest child any parents could ask for. We are so proud of you. We love you!

20 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your twentieth month of life!
You are only four months away from turning two. Momma can barely believe it, you are such a big girl now. You are potty training and doing quite well at it. You rarely have accidents and we are so proud of you. I never would have dreamed that you would want to potty at such a young age. We can thank your buddy Seth for that. He has been a good influence on you :) There are very few words that you can't say, you talk a lot. Its weird that we can actually have conversations with you but sometimes you tell us big stories that are not true in anyway. Momma and daddy just laugh and laugh. You are very entertaining and have to be the center of attention. You are a lot like your daddy and Aunt Veronica in that way. You like to blame things on granny even when she isn't here. Also you always say you are grannys girl no matter who asks. Sometimes you say nananana's girl then say grannys.
This past month you spent a lot of time swimming with Jen Jen. You love to swim, so much so that you swim in the bathtub after you get out of your "bass" You are so beautiful with your brown skin and blonde hair but your always beautiful so thats nothing new :) You are such a smart, beautiful, funny girl :)
We went and watched your first movie Toy Story 3 and you did such a great job. Granny did have to take you to the potty a few times and eventually just wait outside but you almost watched the whole thing. We saw Dispicable Me last weekend and you were good again but got a little antsy toward the end so we had to leave. You are a pretty good girl and I'm proud of you and how you behave. You listen to what momma and dad say and usually we can bribe you with some mims. Your Beiber fever is still here, you love to mess with your hair like he does in the "baby" video.
You still show little fear in new situations or surroundings. I hope that this part of your personality never changes. We still get stopped by strangers who tell us how beautiful you are or how good you behaved. I think that will only increase as you age. In one hour last week I had six people comment on you. Makes momma pretty proud :) But most things about you do. We love you so much!

19 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your nineteenth month of life!
You get funnier and funnier with each passing day. You are such a little comedian just like your daddy. Actually you and your daddy have almost identical personalities. You love to laugh and giggle and tickle people. You also enjoy walking around pretending to be a dinosaur. I never thought I would see the day when you would sit down and watch an entire episode of a show but it happened last week. You sat on the couch and watched YGG! completely. Then we watched Toy Story which is your favorite movie ever. I know it is a bad habit to get into and I was appreciative of the fact you were not a tv baby but sometimes it just nice to sit with you and watch tv. You are always so on the move that I will take any calm relaxing time I can get with you. Half of the time we watch Toy Story you sit on your tricycle and watch it. I guess that is more comfortable than the couch :) The sun has made your hair very blonde and you skin pretty brown. You are such a cute girl with your blonde hair, brown eyes and tan! You would be cute no matter what though, especially with that personality of yours. I am so thankful that you are who you are. You love money and sign at momma to give you more. It seems there are two things you can smell including babies and money! You can spot those anywhere, you actually are very observant and can spot a lot of things that momma and daddy don't see at first. Including munnies (bunnies) and gogs (dogs). We all have so much fun together, I don't know what we ever did before you were here. One thing I would like is for you to stop terrorizing Pootie haha. She would also appreciate if you would stop :) Something surprising that you enjoy is fireworks. You love to see them and hear them and start yelling BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Its very cute (but what do you do that isn't cute? nothing!). How could I forget to mention your love for MIMS (m&ms') continues to grow.
New traits you have this month - master manipulator! We love you!

18 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your eighteenth month of life,
You are such a sweet and sassy little girl. Your attitude and personality always shine for me and daddy and everyone else to see. You make us laugh so much with your actions and your facial expressions. You look at people like they are so stupid and I feel so badly about it. You also look at me sometimes like you can see my soul. You still nurse and we are going to try and be done with that by age 2. you have also started peeing in the potty, I just wish it was on a more consistant basis but I'm still pretty proud of you. You are so young and it was all your idea to potty train. You seem to pick up the good habits from your friends, not the bad ones which makes momma really happy!
You say A LOT of words, some clearly some only momma and daddy can understand. You basically can repeat any word that you hear and most of the time you retain it for future use. It seems that we only have to tell you something one time and you remember. You are very good at following directions, I hope this carries over into your teenage years :) You are such a social child but you have hit the stage where you get a little bit shy. You are shy for about 30 seconds and get over it. You LOVE babies and never seem to get jealous if mom is holding one. Your daddy thinks you can smell babies because no matter where we are you will yell BABY and sure enough there will be one. Momma is pretty sure you would love to have a brother or sister. A couple of days ago you heard a baby crying, looked at me with great concern and say - momma, baby kying. Yes, you are able to put 2 - 3 words together when you speak. You are pretty advanced for your age and you love your little airplane daddy brought you back from St. Louis. It makes noises like a plane taking off and landing. You knew what to do with it as soon as daddy handed it to you. You love to watch the planes fly over our house and always point to them and smile.
You really are such a great baby, we are so lucky to have you. You make our lives so great and exciting. We have such a good time together and there isn't anything more I could ask for in my life. WE LOVE YOU!

17 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your seventeenth month of life!
I am sorry that I did not write to you on your actual day. Momma has had a stomach virus and not felt like doing much other than nursing you and napping. Luckily you have not caught the virus and are just as healthy as ever. I have been very blessed during your life that you have yet to be sick aside from one small cold. I try not to speak of it very much for fear of jinxing us but I feel that you receiving momma's millk for so long is what has been protecting you. You have been talking and talking and talking some more. It seems anything daddy or I say you will repeat whether we want you too or not. When daddy throws his hands up and says "jerks" at people who can't drive it is so funny to see you imitate him. You are such a little miniature adult. You are so sweet and just love on everyone. You are signing "i love you" more and more and even saying it at times. You told daddy you loved him very plainly and it brought tears to his eyes :) You had had even more great experiences in the past month. You were the most beautiful flower girl ever at your Auntie V's wedding. You and cousin Conner stole the show and did such a great job being the flower girl and ring bearer. We also went back to the indoor water park and you and Seth had such a great time. You went up and down the water slide all by yourself. You probably slid down that thing 400 times. You do so well at following directions. We are very proud of you and your little spunky and funny personality. There is so very little that you can not do. And nothing that you do not try to do. You seriously are just like a monkey, sometimes we don't know how you manage to get into the spaces and places that you do. You are so much like you daddy and I can see how you are a lot like your momma too. Your facial expressions are priceless all the time. We love you!

16 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your sixteenth month of life,
I know I say this everytime I write about you but it is true, you have changed so much over the past month. Your vocabulary in both vocal and sign language is just amazing. You are able to put two words together in speech and in sign, it is absolutely adorable. Your favorite sign off course is eat more because honestly you love to eat. The good thing about your love of food is that you try everything but don't eat all of everything. You also speak when you sign which is also adorable. You are amazed at planes flying over our house, as we live kind of close to the airport they are fairly low and you point at them and have started to sign "more". I know that you enjoyed your plane ride and hopefully in the near future you will be able to enjoy another. I made a list a few days ago of the words that you were able to say, but left out some of the ones you use frequently. Sometimes momma has a hard time remember such simple things, daddy is going to have to look over the list and help me out.
You are momma's loving the outside girl, it is your favorite place to be. You love to run while your outside and sometimes that running along with falling on the sidewalks equals boo boos. Your knees currently look awful because you took two big falls this weekend. Sunday morning you woke us up pointing at your knee and going "boo boo." You are so silly! When you fall you only cry for a second and then you are running off again with one or more of us chasing you. Everytime dadda hears you crying he comes running. Each afternoon we go for a walk or a "galk" as you say and if we mention the word "go" you head toward the door or grab the keys. It's just so unbelievable the things that you understand and are able to do.
In the past two weeks we have went bottle free, you get your milk in a sippy cup now - your such a big girl! As of last week momma has also stopped pumping, it is sad in a lot of ways but you are still getting momma's milk in the mornings and in the evenings. Even though we never used a lot of bottles it is still strange to see them all put up and to see the pump packed away and ready to go to the basement.
We bought you a booster seat and a potty a few weeks ago. I am so glad that you like sitting in the booster, now I don't have to worry about your climbing out of your high chair and falling. At restaurants we still have to worry about that as you can wiggle yourself free of the buckles. Momma is looking forward so much to the next few months to see how much you grow and how much you learn. We love you so much!

Word List
Before going to the well baby last week I hadn't really thought much about Annabelle's vocabulary. I knew that it was growing and she could identify quite a few things but really I thought maybe she should be talking more than she was. Turns out I was wrong and that the average amount of words for her age is 3-5. At the time of the visit we told the doctor she had about 10 or so she said pretty consistantly. When we got back home we were talking about it and started naming off the words that she says on a regular basis....turns out there were much more than ten. Jason told me I needed to write them down so I'm just going to blog them!

15 Month Stats
We were late getting her to her 15 month well baby but her stats are
Length - 30 inches
Weight - 23.8 lbs
She has slowed down a lot in both height and weight but the doctor has always told her the height measurement is not that accurate. According to them she has not grew but .25 inches in the past three months and has gained less than a pound. Her legs are getting longer so I know that she has grown more than that. She has slimmed down a lot probably due to the fact all she does is run :) She is going to be a runner like her daddy I suppose. Due to her size, we have went back to size 3 diapers. The fours fit in the waste but were way too droopy. The 3's fit pretty well all around. We also went ahead and got her shots at this visit, I have been weary of getting the MMR until she was older. I had hoped to put it off until 2 and the doctor was fine with that but Jason is more comfortable with her getting it now. At work he comes in contact with people and products from other countries on a pretty regular basis so we just decided it might be for the best to get it now. I believe she will be fine, if she were to have a reaction I feel she would have it regardless of the age at which she received the shot. She also had Hep A shot which didn't bother her at all, probably because it was in her leg. She cried a little at the MMR but not too much. She is a tough girl just like her momma :)

15 Months
To my beautiful girl on your fifteenth month of life,
You are still the greatest joy that I have ever known :) You are becoming more and more independent as each day passes. You have developed a love for the outside and for observing all that is around you. The weather has FINALLY warmed up a little bit so we have spent a majority of the past week outside. You run over to the neighbor kids but then you won't talk to them. You just stand, smile and watch. The shyness phases started about a week ago, it is a phase I never thought I would see you enter. I don't see it hanging around long. This past month has been pretty uneventful except for the snow! You did not enjoy sledding at all and cried the entire time we were riding in the sled. You were okay if you got to walk around in it but not if you were in a sled. Each month you are saying more and more words, momma is now your favorite, which makes momma very happy :) It is so cute the way that you say it. Momma has been trying very hard for the past few weeks to cook when we get home from work so that it is ready when daddy gets home. I have been doing a pretty good job at it, I am even liking spaghetti now which I always hated. You love the spaghetti and everything else momma makes :) You are a food bum, anytime you see us eating you try and take our food. Of course we give it to you :) You also always insist on feeding yourself whether it be with an adult utensil or your own. You are doing pretty good at it too. Your comedy routine continues to run daily at our house and at the baby sitters. I laugh at you more and more everyday, I can see it in your eyes how much you enjoy being the center of attention. One thing I never expected was how much you were going to love baby dolls. You carry Itchy around all the time and try to give him juice or feed him. If only you would carry him correctly and not by his feet, haha. It would also be more comforting to momma if you didn't try to cover him up by placing the cover over his entire face. Makes momma a little unsure about how well you would do with a sibling. If momma never had another she would be so content with you. You are such a great child, growing so fast. One day you will be in kindergarden and the next out of college. We love you so much!

Bottle Debate
I first started contemplating taking the bottle from Annabelle a few months ago. She is a pro at a sippy cup as well as a straw. Her dad has said she could probably have used either of those since birth lol. She only gets maybe 2 bottles a day since she is still a breastfed baby so I know that it will be very easy on us but for the baby sitter I'm not so sure. She usually tells Jennifer when she wants a bah because it means she is ready for a nap. Jennifer tried giving her milk once in a sippy and she wanted no part of that but now that she is a little bigger maybe she would be okay with it. Even though we use very few bottles they are still a pain to clean. I used to wash the bottle she used during the day as well as my breastfeeding bottles daily. I have now started washing once a week. I always hand wash these and it now takes up less time.
Since we have been breast feeding for almost 15 months, the other question I get is when am I going to stop. I'm not quite sure what people have against breastfeeing as Annabelle has never been sick, never had diarrhea, never had an ear infection, etc. Maybe the breastfeeding doesnt have anything to do with it, maybe her immune system would have been just the same on formula, I don't know. But I do know that I wouldn't have wanted to take that chance. Even Jason asks when I'm going to stop, my answer to that is whenever Annabelle wants to stop. In which he replies she will never stop. We have never scheduled anything related to Annabelle, naps, feedings, etc. At almost fifteen months old I'm definitely not going to start now. I don't think that it is going to last much longer anyway, I do not like to use the word "weaning" but I do believe she will self wean in the near future. Her nursing sessions only occur now when she is really tired or if she has been away from me for a long period of time. She nurses every night but it is taking less and less nursing to get her to sleep. I will be very content when she stops as it will be her time and she will be ready, which means that I am ready. Of course I'm going to miss our time together but that time will be replaced with other time together just doing different things. When the nursing stops then we will work on getting her in her bed, that is if her daddy cooperates :)

My baby...
is pretty awesome. The funniest little thing I've ever seen with the biggest personality around. Never meets a stranger, not sure if that is a good or bad thing yet. Always smiling, always dancing, always giggling. Loves to eat apples with her daddy, gets mad at her daddy if he shares with momma. Loves to yell MOMMA MOMMA MOMMA and AHHHH MOMMA when she gets mad at me. She is just so great, never a dull moment. Love to see her running full speed ahead at me when I get her from the sitters because she is so excited to see me but I also love that she doesn't want to leave the sitters house because she loves it there to much. Makes me feel good to know she has such great people watching and taking care of her and that she loves them. She loves to feed the dog snack bones and gets angry at her daddy and gives him the mean look if she doesn't get to speak or pet the dog each night. She grabs the cats tails and gives us the mean look if we tell her to be gentle. She is just so much fun, we have such a great time together.

14 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your fourteenth month of life,
Yesterday when daddy came home you signed "i love you" to him. It was precious, you are turning into a daddy's girl. You and daddy have a lot of fun, you are so silly together and you find your daddy 100 times funnier than he really is. He has finally found a person that thinks he is as funny as he thinks he is. You are on the verge of a vocabulary explosion. Your favorite word to say now is "duct" At the baby sitter's we were talking about ducks and you decided to show us one. You are such a clever little girl and you make momma and daddy so happy. You have at times put your finger to your mouth and said "shh" and others you have blown us kisses. It is amazing how such a small little thing can be so much in charge and have such control over us. You continue to be friendly but I think you are getting close to that bashful stage (maybe). There are times where you put your little head on mommas shoulder when people talk to you, but it is rare. You have began to give the cats a pretty rough time lately, chasing after them, laughing really loudly at them, trying to pick them up. They don't weigh much less than you do these days. As you have started to get taller your fat rolls are disappearing. Your belly still looks kinda big but its just so cute :) You are still getting at least one bottle of momma's milk a day plus the mornings and afternoons. It has been very good for you so far in your life. You are trying other types of foods like spaghetti, mac n cheese, etc. Just simple things that momma can make pretty easily. The past couple of weeks momma has been making a better effort to cook food and I have been successful thus far. I think your favorite table food so far might be pizza though. You loooove it and chocolate.
You continue to have many fun life adventures. Last month we went to Texas which meant you got to ride your first plane. You did very well on the trip, momma nursed you and you slept most of the way there and most of the way back. You woke up right before we got to Houston and looked out and saw the clouds, pointed at them and went ooooooooohhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhh. You enjoyed being able to sit in the seat by yourself and just look out the window. It was so nice watching you be so happy and adventurous. We are very thankful that you are such a good baby and enjoy doing things. When we would go to the hotel room you would climb in your stroller and point to the door. You were ready to roll ha :)
This past weekend we took you to The Little Gym so that you would be able to have something to do during this cold snowy winter. You immediately loved it (you love everything) and loved socializing with those other children. You even got your first kiss from a cute little red headed boy. We are planning on signing you up for more classes. You might turn into a gymnast, you already had perfect form on the bars lol.
You continue to be the best child ever, we love you so much!

Just an Update
Our precious little baby has now learned to throw temper tantrums. A few weeks ago we got a little preview of those when she threw one in the bacon section at Wal-Mart. Jason took a pack from her so she started screaming and went "boneless" as they say on Psych and then layed down in the floor. While in Texas she has started to perfect these tantrums. We have really had to work on our ability to trick her from the things she wants to throw a fit over to the things she is allowed to have. She has learned to shriek which is hillarious but we try not to let her see us laughing :)
There have been some positive developments as well, she has learned to use a few signs, such as more, eat, milk, baby and sometimes love. The love sign is not really the correct ASL sign but it is the sign between herself, her daddy and I. Apparently she had been signing more for a very long time but we were not able to tell, now it is obvious. We have tried since she was at least 6 months old to get her to sign and now when she signs she also adds, or tries to add the word. Her vocabulary has also increased slightly, everything is still pretty much THAT but she had added MOMMA which she usually yells, bird, water, juice, baby, more, simple things like that. I am pretty proud of the things she is able to do and when I first saw her sign more I got all teary eyed. We of course think she is very clever, we can show her how to do something one time and from then on she does it herself. She can follow directions pretty easily now which really surprises me.
My big girl is started to thin out, she doesn't look nearly as big to us as she used too. Her pants are too big for her now and she is wearing some 6/9 month clothes. The sleeves and legs are a little bit short but I am pretty happy she is able to still wear some of her onesies. I say she looks smaller to us but when she is next to a baby her own age she is still quite a bit taller. She just looks so chunky without a diaper, but I'd be surprised if she weighs 22 lbs.
She is eating more and different types of foods, her daddy gave in and is letting her eat french fries. He used to get so mad when I would give her a little bite of one, now she is able to hold them herself and take bites. Rarely does she stuff the entire thing in her mouth, but it happens.

Others are not as fortunate as we are -
Watching the coverage of the Haiti Earthquake on tv is very humbling. Please visit http://www.redcross.org/ and donate to their relief fund.

13 Months!
To my beautiful girl on your thirteenth month of life!
It seems as though you have grown so much in the past month, you are walking everywhere and anywhere now. I still think you are a rat, you started taking your first steps 3 days after your first birthday. December the 14th was your due date and that is the date that you decided it was time to walk to momma. I'll never forget seeing you take that first step. Momma had so been afraid of missing things since she worked and didn't get to spend the entire day with you but that is one that I didn't miss. You saw me come through the door and walked right toward me, well really to the recliner but then you held on to get to me. You have gotten to play in the snow for the very first time. You loved the snow, but the big suit you had to wear not so much. You did look adorable in it even if it was uncomfortable for you. You are slowing adding words to your vocabulary. You are still very stubborn, which is something that is probably only going to increase as you age. Your hair is growing and you have a good amount in the back, the front still has a ways to go but you still have more hair than dadda! It even curls in the back when it is wet. It is very pretty, I'm not sure where those cute curls came from though. The way your hair is growing they may be here to stay.
There are still so many things for you to do for the very first time and momma gets so excited to experience those with you. This past weekend you went to an indoor water park. The water was a little cold so you didn't enjoy it as much as I had expected but you still had a good time. You took a three hour nap while we were there, you never ever ever do that. We are lucky to get you to nap for 45 minutes! You were really tired and worn out. We are so lucky to have you, we have so much fun playing with you or just sitting with you. You are a little comedian who loves to have all the attention. If someone isn't paying attention to you you will let them know it and once they start then you ignore them. You make us laugh so much and enjoy so many different things. I'm glad you are my little baby! :) We love you!
