7 Weeks!!
Annabelle laughs, smiles and coos. She can hold her head up so well when we put her on her belly. She will be crawling in no time. She has a very quick temper, if you do not do what she wants immediately she gets screaming mad lol. She is a sweetie too. She has spent a great deal of time lately in Manchester. We have had a pretty bad ice storm in Lexington so our electric was out. We just went back home yesterday and when we saw there was no power turned right around and came back lol. I am very thankful that Annabelle and our dog both love to ride in the car and do very well traveling.

6 weeks!
Our little baby is changing so much everyday. She is getting pretty big!! She has been cooing, smiling and laughing a lot during the past few days. It is the best feeling in the world to see her smile. She is waking up on her auntie so I need to go feed her. Hopefully I can get back and update this entry today, if not I'll do it sometime :) My baby is hungry!!!

5 weeks today :)
Little one is five weeks old today. With each week that passes I can not believe how big she is getting. She is over 11 lbs now, which means she has gained almost 3..she dropped down to 8lb 8 ounces after we left the hospital from her birth weight of 9lbs 9 ounces. Since last Friday (my birthday) she has been sleeping a lot better. She slept most of that day, we both took a nap about midday and when I woke up I felt horrible. I had been having pain in my boobs and it turned into Mastitis. It was pretty painful, my temperature went to over 101.8. Thankfully it did not last that long. I felt better the next day, the pain is not completely gone but atleast I do not feel like I have the flu. I was so thankful for her being such a good girl on Friday especially since I felt so bad. She has been sleeping for hours at a time at night but when she wakes up she is starving so she is very impatient. She is very impatient when it comes to food regardless though. Her daddy has been in Detroit since Tuesday so we have been in Manchester since Monday night. We will be going back to Lexington tomorrow. Whenever we come to Manchester we do not get to hold the baby very much. If she was not breastfed I probably would not even get to touch her the entire time. Last night she slept in the bed with everyone in the house. She got to be shown off a little this week, she went to granny's school, grandpas garage and nanas office. Then she visited with her great grandma Camzie. She has had a good time this week. In a couple weeks she will get to go on her first big trip when we go to Atlanta with Jason for training. Hopefully that will go very well :)

Annabelle is 1 month old
Today is her 1 month birthday. Doesn't seem that she should be this old but then when you look at her she seems so much older. She is 11 lbs right now and still growing. Tomorrow we are heading to Manchester until Thursday while her daddy is going to the Detroit Auto Show. It will be the first time he is away from her, we will see how that goes lol. Annabelle loves to eat and poop. She is the poopingest baby I have ever seen. I read these books and stuff that says breastfeed babies can go days without pooping, but not Annabelle. She poops 10 times a day lol. With as much as she has changed in the past month I can imagine what she is going to be like in another month. She gets her first shots next month, I don't know how well she will do with those. She had to get her sugar tested at the hospital three different times and did not cry when she was poked. She had to have blood taken three times the first week we were home because her billirubin was high and didn't act like that bothered her either. Hopefully she will be okay with shots. Debating on whether or not we are going to get her ears pierced, I know it is too early now to have it done. Before she was born Jason had said he would like for them to be pierced. Hopefully soon she will start sleeping better during the day so that we can get a picture of her in her beautiful pettiskirt we got her. She sleeps very well at night so that is a positive, I guess that is better than her sleeping during the day.

1st laugh
While little one is sleeping (finally) I am going to post an update about her first laugh. She has smiled off and on while awake since she was born, now she has a look of constant amusement on her face like she at anytime can break out into a huge smile. This morning I was talking to mom on the phone, when I finished I talked to Annabelle for awhile while she was sitting up on the boppy in my lap. All of the sudden she smiled and laughed. It was precious lol. I hate that Jason misses this stuff and when I go back to work I will miss it as well. I'd love to stay home but its not possible. I wouldn't want to make Jason responsible for all of us especially with the way the economy is. I am happy and fortunate to have a job even if it is not a great one. If student loans were paid off it would probably be more tempting to quit and stay home though lol. We don't have a lot of debt so maybe one day. My mom was able to stay home with me and my sister until after Veronica went to school.

Sleep = the enemy
Annabelle HATES to sleep so much. I don't know what it is, she did sleep pretty good last night but normally when she wakes up around 2 to eat she will not go back to sleep for 3 hours. Last night she got up around 1 and went right back to sleep after eating, thank God!! She then woke up at a little after 5:30 and has taken 3 5 min naps since lol. She is sleeping in my lap right now and I am afraid to that if I move her she will wake up (which is what usually happens). She has wanted to eat all day today, I guess because she slept so long last night. We had started giving her formula after she eats at her 2 o clock feeding but didn't need to last night - that could be what is going on. Thank goodness that when she is awake she just looks around and doesn't cry very much.
I told Jason she would be this way because I don't think she ever slept when I was pregnant with her. I am going to start wearing her in a sling but I can't figure it out, I am going to wait until someone is here with me to make sure that I put her in right. Jason tried to carry her in a carrier but she was just a little short for it, she may fit now though. She has gotten a little longer in the past 2 weeks.

Side ways
Annabelle has been able to roll her to right side for about a week, today she rolled on to her left side. I was very proud, she also smiled at me while awake on Saturday. Somedays she constantly has a look of amusement on her face, it is so funny. She is probably going to be just like her daddy. Daddy went back to work today and we have been surviving very well, she is actually SLEEPING! She had projectile vomit earlier but seems to have recovered now. According to her granny she probably just ate to much. She has eaten since then and it seems to be able to stay down. She will be 4 weeks old Thursday and I can' believe it. She is awake now - time to eat.

3 week update!
Annabelle is three weeks old today, it is amazing how different she looks in just these few short weeks. She looked just like me when she was born and now she is looking a little more like her daddy. She is getting longer!! She rolled over on her right side last night when I put her in the bassinet to get changed. She really is advanced like her daddy predicted. Her busted blood vessel in her eye is almost healed. I will be very glad when it is completely gone, it looks painful but the doctor assured us it was nothing, just from the trauma of being born - they had to pull and tug to get her out. We are getting into more and more of a routine I think at home, she is sleeping really good at night. Annabelle will fight sleep though, and it is way too early to be dealing with that lol. She has been doing that since she was about a week old.
Monday will be my first day with her by myself. Mom is leaving sometime this weekend and Jason goes back to work Monday. The longest I have had her alone has been when Jason has taken Kate to the dog park and we have survived then just like we will survive Monday.
Annabelle's favorite things right now are:
her family (of course!)
looking around with her big bright eyes
being talked/sung too -- she especially loves the avett brothers
going for car rides
EATING!!

Annabelle's First New Year!
We are pretty much homebodies at the moment, and that is fine with us. This is the first year we have not done something for new years and it was the best new years we have ever had. Mom & Veronica have been here since Monday night and they help a lot. Usually after I feed the baby one or the other of them grab Annabelle and I don't see her again till next time to eat lol - but I do get to catch up on my sleep when they are here and I am very grateful. I could care less about watching the ball drop on New Years but it being our first as a family, Jason wanted to make sure that Annabelle was with us when the ball dropped and that we watched it. It was a sweet moment. I did have to steal her away from mom and Veronica though, but it was time for food!
