I'm NOT a boy!!!
Yesterday we had lunch with daddy and his friends. Two different people thought I was a boy!!!!!!!!! I am the prettiest little girl in the world and they still thought I was a boy! I can't help I have very little hair....it is growing through! A nice lady kept telling me I was cute and then asked to make sure I was a little boy. I'm not so mommy told her I was a girl, no big deal. Then an older man who told us he was 80 something told mommy and daddy I was the cutest little boy and that they would have to chase the girls away from me when I was older. This is after he yells at my daddy to "stop feeding that baby chicken!!" lol. We never told him any different, we just let him think I was a boy even though I did have pink stitches on my pants. Oh well. I think mommy is now more on daddys side about getting my ears pierced.
11 Weeks!
Our baby is getting bigger and bigger! She has begun to imitate her daddy when he howls. Yes, her daddy is teaching her to howl. I only have one more week at home with my baby before I have to return to work. March 9th is going to be a horrible day for me. The way things are going these days I am just lucky to have a job. Yesterday we went to visit daddy for lunch in Lawrenceburg and we are hoping to do that one more time before I return to work. Annabelle is such a good baby, we are so lucky. She has turned into a drool bucket who loves to watch her feet move. I keep checking to make sure she isn't teething, I know it is early, but the way she drools it makes you wonder. Jason thinks she just learned how to spit and that is what she is doing. She loves tv and music. Especially the cover of Glory Days by The Avetts. She is currently laughing at Stephen Colbert.
I can't wait until May to take Annabelle to the zoo! I was all ready for the beach this summer too but I think we will put that off until next year. Hopefully we will visit Red River Gorge a lot this summer or probably the fall. Everytime I go I find a snake, I do not like snakes. I am going to try my hardest for Annabelle to decide for herself whether or not she likes snakes. I think my dislike of them has worn off on Jason. There is something about seeing one outside that almost makes me throw up! My mom always wanted a pet snake (GROSS!).

My first Valentine's Day
Sometimes mommy writes my blogs, somethings mommy writes them for me and sometimes daddy writes them even though he is yet to write one. Last Saturday was Valentine's Day. Me, mommy and daddy went to Buddy's to meet our friends, eat lunch and watch the UK game on TV. I got to play with my friend Katie who is going to be a big sister soon! Well I slept most of the time but they got to seem me. I got a nice Valentine's package from my nana, mamaw and aunt Jessica. I will be glad when it warms up so I can wear my dresses that I have in my room. Daddy put me in a dress on Saturday but it was just a little big. Daddy also bought me a swing for Valentine's day. It is kind of junky lol Mommy wants to take it back and get another but I don't mind, it gets the job done.

10 Weeks old!
Our baby is 10 weeks old today! We went out tonight for diapers, of course we went to Target, it is her favorite store. She has been going to Target since she was a couple days old. She is getting big enough and old enough that she gets carried around now when we are in the store. We also ate at Steak n Shake, she slept most of the time we were there but right before our food came she woke up. She was in the carseat in the booth with her daddy and she just smiled at him the entire time. She didn't cry to be held or anything. We got her out at Target because she was a little fussy. She was smiling and happy after that. I am so thankful to have a happy baby. I think most are though or at least I hope they are. All babies deserve to be happy! I have been trying to take Annabelle's picture smiling for days now, weeks even, but she always stops when I get the camera. It is so funny. She knows what I want her to do and she just quits...as soon as I put it down she starts again. We bought another digital camera just to take videos of her. I have put a couple on youtube...but I have more I need to add. We have a video camera but I got it about 6 years ago for when I went overseas so it is kind of out dated. It is just easier to use the little digital camera anyway.
Tonight is the first night that daddy has been able to put the baby down for another other than just a nap. She is out for the night now, it is so sweet to see them. She loves her daddy but not as much as she loves her mommy! She talked to her granny on the phone today, I think she knows her grannys voice more than she knows mine or her daddy's.
She has outgrown her 0-3 sleepers...I love sleepers with zippers, so easy to change her diapers. I put a 3-6 month sleeper on her tonight, it is quite big but she didn't need to wear the smaller ones anymore, they were too short.
My hat granny made me a couple weeks ago! I have two a yellow one too!!! Granny makes me lots of things!!

2 month Well Baby Visit
Today was very hard for me, Annabelle had her first set of shots and it hit me that I only have one more month home with her. My heart is going to break when I return to work. I so hope that I will eventually be able to stay home with her, if it were not for student loans I would be able to do so. Sometimes I feel like I wasted my time even going to school, all I needed was my baby and I would have been fine. She is the most precious thing in the world and I never imagined that I could love something as much as I love her. I actually do not mind going to work, its just the fact that I have to leave her. I don't want her to feel like mommy abandoned her. She is very attached to me. I am still breastfeeding her and I hope that I will be able to continue doing so once I do go back to work. It was very hard the first couple of weeks and I kept thinking it would be so easy just to give her a bottle. I adjusted and it is much easier this way. It feels like ages ago that either Jason or I had to get up and walk her around the room before she would fall asleep or when we would go to Manchester, mom would stay up with her and get her to sleep much easier than we did. Now she sleeps 6 or more hours a night, she is making up for the weeks that she would barely sleep 10 hours a day.
Her shots did not really phase her very much, I think it hurt me worse than it did her. She only cried for a few seconds and then she was smiling and laughing. She is in the 99th percentile for length at 25 inches and 85.5th percentile for weight. She is now 12 lbs 9 ounces. She has gained 4 lbs since the first doctors visit the Monday after she was born. She was born 9lbs 9 ounces but dropped to 8lbs 8 ounces in the hospital. She has an umbilical hernia but the doctor said it isn't a concern, it doesn't hurt her and should heal on its own by the time she is two. Her gassiness is also normal and we can start her on cereal in March (mom will be happy, she wanted to start it in December haha) and baby food in April.

8 weeks
Annabelle smiles most of the time. She amazes me in the things that she can do. She follows us around the room with her head and her eyes. She holds her head up so well to be almost 2 months old. She has started to sleep really well at night and I guess it is considered sleeping through the night. If she can keep the same schedule she has now it will be exactly what we need when I go back to work. Sleeping from after 11 to 5:15 or so. That would give me time to feed her and get ready before Jason has to be up. It seems like so long ago that we could not get her to sleep at night and had to walk her around the room for hours half asleep ourselves. She is still a gass machine lol. She gets her shots Wednesday..I am nervous but she will be fine I am sure. She has become fascinated by her tongue and keeps sticking it in and out...especially when her daddy is doing the same thing.
