27 Weeks!

Lots of stuff happened this past week. Annie had her six month well baby visit and she said “HI!” to a man in the waiting room. He was waiting with his daughter and had waved and said hi to her. She waved back and replied HI! I was amazed. It wasn’t a normal perfect wave but she threw her hand to the side. Now she will move her fingers around and try to wave. She is so cute. At her well baby she was weighed, measured and given more shots. She now weighs 19.6 lbs and is about 26 inches long. The doctor said that is not a good representation of her length and as she is older and able to stand it will become more representative. She finished up shots for awhile and doesn’t get anymore until a year. We talked to him about putting off the MMR which is what she is scheduled for in December and he was fine with that. So we are going to put that off until she is 24 months. I explained that I just read too much and didn’t want to take any chances with any links between vaccines and autism and he was very nice about it. She is supposed to also get chicken pox vaccination but I think I will delay that as well. I know this may sound bad but I think I’d rather her get chicken pox than get the shot. When I had them it was a very, very light case and I barely even had any spots. I am hoping that happens with her as well in a couple years. We will go back to the doctor in three months for her next well baby.
We just started her on fruits last week and see seems to like most of them pretty good but out of all she has tried she loves prunes the best. Prunes and squash seem to be her favorite two baby foods so far. She is finally getting to where she will eat a little more of the food. She is a momma’s milk kinda gal. She has also started to eat the sweet potato puffs a little bit better. The doctor told us she can have anything that we eat as long as it’s blended up really well. So far there is no sign of food allergies.
She has actually said two words this past week. One of which was Hi the other was DAH. Sunday night Jason was asleep on the couch, we were playing in the floor and I picked her up, she looked over at him and said DAH. He missed it, she hasn’t said it since. It may be months before she says it again. I guess he just missed out this time.
We watched another volleyball game last night; it was tournament so Aunt Veronica & Uncle Josh came up to go with us. Annabelle slept the entire time again. Apparently she doesn’t find her dah playing volleyball too exciting. Veronica & Josh tried their hardest to get her to say Hi. If you watch her she always moves her mouth to where it looks like she is going to say it but either raspberries or smiles instead. Her raspberries have become pretty forceful lately.
She continues to be as silly of a kid as I’ve ever seen. She plays in the floor a lot now, she loves it. She will roll and roll and roll. She has learned to pull the blanket to her to get the things she wants. They learn so much so fast. We are going to work on signing this week. I have worked with her to sign milk but I think now is a good time to try harder. With her being as active as she is we may have a crawler by the end of the month. She is still pulling herself up on things and standing which is weird to me but I am amazed each time she does it. Life is never boring now that is for sure. I wouldn’t trade my life for anything.
